1.1 Mac broken for integrated Intel Graphics?

Hello, I have been enjoying Rimworld without really any technical issues on my rather ancient 2012 Macbook Air with Integrated Intel Graphics. Unfortunately a lot of games seem to have an issue with this graphics card, but fortunately Rimworld was not one of them...until 1.1! I really wish I could enjoy the new features as they seem awesome but nothing I have tried has worked. I've tried every single possible post 1.0 version available through Steam, uninstalling all mods, doing a clean install etc that people usually suggest. I think I saw in another forum thread that other people with a similar computer were having trouble with the new update, so do I just need to stick to 1.0 until I can play on a different computer? Can anyone confirm the new version will 100% not work with this hardware? : (

yes with the 1.0 or 1.1 Rimworld got a new Unity engine which got higher requirements.
You arn't the only one who couldn't play anymore.
