Sorry if this has been posted before  :P but I'd like to suggest the idea of Textiles, gathering wool from muffalo's, making in into clothing,or making patches to repair clothing.with different (custom?) designs for your colonials. Also tanning would go hand on hand, as well as dying and you'd need a mill to spin the wool and a sewing kit/sewing machine (latter is obviously faster-non electric version slower) making blankets/ hot climate sheets would insulate or cool people in beds- this goes well with the "temperature" suggestion, or to help people who are incapacitated get on their feet- think shock after being shot- they get cold- blood doesn't flow as well. Making blankets would help with this. You could also make body bags/coverings and hidden gun emplacements and in hot climates, cheap cloth doors. Sorry I'm so in depth- my mum teaches textiles!

This should be addressed with the Stuff system, making Stuff out of Stuff and Things out of Things (there's a very confusing discussion somewhere else on the forum).
I like how this game can result in quotes that would be quite unnerving when said in public, out of context. - Myself

The dubious quotes list is now public. See it here

You got it all wrong!
Things out of stuff, not things out of things

stuff -> thing
therefore
thing = stuff
You cannot make Thing out of different thing without adding stuff to it
but you can make stuff into different stuff through alchemy
and you can make stuff out of things by disassembling them

if it helps treat Stuff as 'material' and thing as 'product'
Really, I made very extensive case study about this
long hours of research was put into it

But on topic! like SQ said!
