Hello,

this always was a huge annoyance to me, as a "newbie" to the game, but even after 100+ gameplay, I always thought this was an important information, which is totally lacking from the game. It would be either a good mod, or good idea to build into the game itself. Especially for new players, it could be hard to figure out, what "work type" something is.

Idea to fix / make the game better:

- put a ("work type") in the info panel when you click a blueprint, crafting station, or when you right click something and the current "job" someone is doing in the info HUD.

Hallo hanskanns(nichtlassen),
only the bill's can have a skill not the workbench itself.
And you allready can see what skill is required for a bill.

Hello Canute,

thanks but that was not what this is all about. I gave specific examples where it should be shown.

This is NOT about the skills, this is about the work type!

You just gave one example where you could see it with (too many) clicks actually necessary. And yours is about the skill, not the work type!

More important is the other things I gave examples for.

- on the workbench  show the "work type" you need for, each bill would be the same work type obviously so it doesnt make sense to look into bills.

- show it in blueprints frame

- show it in the queue (hud of current work)

- show it for right click orders

There are several situations where you cant see it, and it is really annoying to figure out. Some might be "obvious" like cooking, or researching. But some main work types are too "structured", like handle, basic, ect, and you dont see from in the game what what is, but if you hover the mouse over the work type in the work gui with a (too long) list.

A mod giving the examples I gave would be simple, handy and would make the game better in a large way.

Ok, i just wanted be sure you are aware of that info.
But worktypes/skills are based at the bills and a workbench can have different type of bills.

But for the forces work i rather would see
Prioritize <worktype> .... rather then to have it behind in brackets.
