Using Royalty soundtrack without the DLC

Hello,
is it possible to use the Royalty music while playing just the base game, without the DLC?

It is possible to buy just the soundtrack on Stream, but according to a review it doesn't work in-game. And as I understand it, the soundtrack shipped with the DLC requires the DLC to not only be installed, but also enabled, which I don't want (I don't like some features of the DLC). I've tried googling this and found nothing on the subject. Is it possible somehow?

Only way that I can think of right away is making a personal mod for it
All you'd need is notepad and something like Audacity (free audio software) for converting the tracks into .ogg files
