New to modding - how to apply a hediff to a Ritual?

Hello,
I am currently trying to make a mod which adds a hediff to the blindee pawn when the blinding ritual is completed. I have managed to make the hediff in xml but I don't know how to apply the hediff to a ritual, nor could I find a tutorial online. Could someone help point me in the right direction?

I'm currently struggling to apply the hediff to the pawn. I've re-used the code that the blinding ritual uses to give a psylink to the colonist, and I have the xml file containing the hediff, but I can't seem to find the correct command to apply the hediff to the pawn.
