to upload is what I meant

Hmm, you can try setting it to a smaller size or maybe save it as a different format, PNG's are pretty big, try saving it as a JPG, much much smaller file size. If that doesn't work maybe try a different site? http://tinypic.com/

skivvy96, upload your image to postimage.org.  It'll give you a forum tag to copy/paste here that will give a thumbnail view and a link to the full image.

For colony defense, I recommend any type of weapon that fires multiple bullets at once (burst).
More bullets = more hits = more chance to seriously wound or incapacitate

Also, why would anyone use concrete for the floor?  The only things flooring does is prevent plants from growing and therefore fires from spreading.  Go with wood floors - it's cheap and it makes your colonists happy.

I finally managed it! This has been my best colony so far it has survived several raids with minimal loses and the only problem I'm having is that hydroponics takes up a lot of time. http://s29.postimg.org/gejne877r/screenshot4.png

Hydroponics take up a lot of time? They are by far the fastest growing method in Rimworld!

Very nice colony, though! Just be careful not to let the raiders set fire to your battery house in bottom left, or you'll see some pretty fireworks. :D

I know hydroponics shouldn't take up a lot of time but for some reason my colonists seem to spend a lot of their time there even though I set their priorities to mining and construction.

My bad for not specifying, But from my experience other floors still allow fire to spread on them, I only use concrete for defence and firebreaks as my raiders like to use molotovs and inferno cannons.

For everything else though, Wood flooring, carpet and smooth stone all the way.

Grats on getting your screenie! Lol Very nice colony, Nice and neat/orderly. Square edges and all, very appeasing to the eye. Your one entrance looks pretty well defended with sandbags, you may want a turret or two eventually (Just keep them 3 squares from anything else so that when/if they explode you don't damage anyone/anything.) Also, some Stone or Metal pillars for improved cover wouldn't hurt. Leaning around a Wall (High cover) gives better cover than sandbags (Low cover). That back door looks risky too, if you have to transmit power through there just use a Metal wall, the Pirates/Mechanoids/Squirrels/Muffalos/Tribespeople are going to beat that thing down and bypass all your lovely defenses!
