Rimworld keeps crashing after loading "defs"

Ave, I've been playing Rimworld ever since last December as a gift for my bday. Ever since then, the game usually crashes after loading "defs" or gets stuck on loading defs but te game somehow still runs and I can hear the music and the sound whenever I hover my cursor on a button.

Ive tried anything but to no avail. Anyone here that can help me?

remove all mods and try again
then add mods in small batches

Yeah I did multiple times, but a day or two later or whenever I add a mod into the list it'll crash.

mod cause game to crash (because mod designed for other version of the game)

do you really expect it to start working if you wait a day or two?
