[1.3.3159] Permadeath Save Crashed Computer Completely

1. Colonists were doing their typical jobs, there were 6 or 7 total colonists in the colony.

2. An alt-tab was pressed and it completely crashed the computer. No BSOD, just frozen and waited about 5 minutes for anything to happen. Forced computer off with power button. Save file no longer opens and instead displays 3 red question marks when trying to load.

3. No crashed are expected. Game should be able to load the save.

4. I was alt-tabbing semi-frequently and adjusting the time pacing within the game. Otherwise no steps can be taken.

I think that the computer froze interrupt the save process of the file and lead to a corrupt savegame.
That file is lost.
But even when you play permadeath, there is still a backup file.
Check the savegame folder, there should be another file with your colony name but with a different ending.
Just change that ending into .rws and you should be able to load it.

Thanks for the bug report.  Can you check to see if you have a crash log available?  It should be in the same folder area that you get the player logs from.  I agree with Canute's workaround for recovering the save, the backup save should be available.
