Playing on latest version with both DLC and, admittedly, a lot of mods, though I don't see why any of them would cause this behavior. Popped open the ancient danger with 8 pawns with assault rifles and moods varying from 70% to 100%. Just a few bugs inside, and I led them through a few traps. A couple megaspiders made it out, and we easily gunned them down. All bugs were then downed or dead, yet simultaneously 2 of my 100% mood pawns went running to hide in their room even though there were no more threats. This was around 22:00 and they stayed awake in their rooms for something like 16 hours, leaving once to grab food in the middle. They had no negative moodlets related to the bugs, and one of them even has bloodlust so should have been having a great time. Neither has a trait that might explain it, like wimp or nervous or whatever. Not sure if this is intended or not.

Hi,
when you play with mods you never know if some mods does some unwanted interaction or mod conflict's you don't notice.
When you don't got a savegame before you open the ancient danger, to reproduce the behavior, your report is just a notice to keep at the backmind if maybe someone else got the same problem.

Just happened 2 more times with absolutely nothing violent/scary happening. Both with super positive moods, and hiding in room for HUGE amounts of time, close to 24 hours. This is starting to cripple my colony. How do I post a log?

nibiyabi

The log doesn't mention the mental breaks at all. I have a save file just after one pawn breaks and shortly before another one breaks, but it's 25mb and the attachment limit is 1mb. There is no "last straw" like there is with other mental breaks, and it's always hiding in their room for an extremely long time. This is coming out of nowhere with no recent mod changes. The save file that is in between the two breaks shows no unusual negative moodlets on the one who is about to break. This is just so bizarre and I've never seen anything like it.

Starting with reading "How to report a bug", it explain where the logfile are located and how to post a savegame.

Here is the compressed save file: https://file.io/Qi65Saw4QIIw

Tex is about to hide in his room for no reason. Also, they aren't getting catharsis after these breaks either. I've attached the log. Thank you very much for your help.

Never mind! I think it's Improved Insectoids causing this behavior. It causes hiding in room as a possible reaction to megaspiders. The second time around, now that I think about it, both colonists were near a bumbledrone queen (another giant insect created by an entirely different mod). There must be some unintended interaction going on between the two. I will leave this up in case anyone else runs into the same problem. I'll assume this is solved since that behavior can thankfully be disabled. Thanks again!
