Random relations are out of control

Hi there.

It's my first time posting here, but I'm now in my 2,050th hour in Rimworld, so I've definitely got waaaay more than my money's worth and am pretty much still a noob.

I love the game, I've got all the DLC's, I love what was added in Biotech, but the random relations have gone totally and utterly out of control and I'm sure I'm not the only person that's noticed.

This is the kind of problem I'm seeing almost every raid (I've tried inserting an image using imgbb but dont know if it's working):

I used to run a mod that prevented this for the odd times it happened pre-1.4, but sadly it's not working in 1.4 and you shouldn't need a mod to fix what has got to be a bug (right!?).

Can someone let me know whether this is even being considered a bug that needs fixing? am I an idiot and the games working fine? does anyone know how on earth I can stop this madness??
