This post contains a lot of made up names because I couldn't find official names for them

Stranger pawn's (pawns you don't control, i.e. prisoners, raiders, travelers and traders) job (e.g. Penitent for tribals) will depend on their melee and shooting skills. If the pawn has a better melee skill than shooting skill it will have a job with a melee weapon and vice versa. If the melee and shooting skills are identical the game will randomly choose between the jobs. For example for a tribal pawn with a melee skill of 12 and a shooting skills of 4 the game will randomly choose a job from this pool: Penitent, Breacher, Warrior, Berserker and Berserker chief. Whereas an imperial pawn with a shooting skill of 16 and a melee skill of 3 will have a job chosen from this pool: Imperial Citizen (the weapon will be chosen by the skill), Imperial Trader, Trooper, Janissary, Grenadier, Cataphract and Stellic Defender.
