Did the days get shorter?

I can't help. With every new Alpha I get the feeling that an ingame day is shorter in real life then in the previouse Alpha.

I've had this suspicion that they've actually implemented dynamic daylight hours, meaning the amount of daylight per day depends on the season (month). But that's just massive speculation on my behalf.

The lighting levels are already highly dynamic throughout the day, a 24-hour period, meaning the transition from day to night happens gradually in mathematical (gameplay) terms, and not just visually. As in, the night or day isn't just an on/off switch anymore in terms of lighting levels. The aiming penalty from darkness is now dynamic. However, daytime and night-time still have defined time limits. Daytime starts at 7AM. Not sure about night-time. Plants, for example, won't grow at 6AM because they "think" it's still night.

Also, I suspect colonists now have to be more tired before they go to bed (in comparison to A5 or prior). That means they now possibly sleep longer if the fatigue restoration rate was left untouched.

I am currently finding it hard to determine day and night since I get the eclipse event every few days or so...

The worse thing that can happen to you is that you'll get your ass capped.

It hasn't changed for many months, and back when it did change it always got longer. So you're just nuts :p

Nuts = Normal. We're two of a kind, Z.
I like how this game can result in quotes that would be quite unnerving when said in public, out of context. - Myself
