Finding Save Files on Mac

Not sure this really qualifies as support, but does anyone know where you find your save files on Mac? I can't seem to find them; I've checked documents, application support, etc.

Should be

• Windows: Users\[Current user name]\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld
• Mac: /Users/[Current user name]/Library/Caches/unity.Ludeon Studios.RimWorld

Are save files compatible between  mac & pc? I'd love to be able to do what I do with KSP: replace the save file folder with symbolic links that point to a dropbox folder. Then where ever I am, mac or pc, I can pick up the same save and keep playing.

That's a really convoluted place for save files, both on Mac and Windows.  Any plans to change that?  I consider myself pretty sharp around computers (I've been a software dev for 13 years) and I couldn't find them without looking here.
