So I just captured my first raider and because I want to recruit him I told the doctor to heal him, but during this he got his consciousness back and now he's walking around with untreated wounds and still bleeding! I already marked a sleeping spot in the prison as medical but he's still refusing to use it. Is there any way of forcing him back (without beating him unconscious again of curse) or do I have to hope that he survives till he get's back to sleep?

You can use a warden to drag them to a bed.  With them selected, right-click the prisoner and pick 'Prioritise wardening.'

That should work.  If it doesn't, then it's bugged.

Warden's just gelivering food and talking to him :(

On the other hand, this is a good qualifying examination.

You could use the new Operations thing to force him into a medical bed, like tell them to remove one of his kidneys, but then, once he's anesthetised but before they actually start the operation, cancel the kidney removal. Not tested, but it should work.

Okay well, if the prisoner has a sleeping spot (it will have their name under it) try deconstructing that, then have the warden attempt to escort them to the medical bed.

Dr. Z

I turned the bed of the prisoner into a medical bed, that should do the same.

That's what I've been doing, it works very well.

The doctor will drag the prisoner to its bed and use anesthesia, then go to get the supplies. If you stop the bill then, the doctor will stop and the prisoner will still be unconscious for a while and can be healed.
I don't think you can start an operation bill without having medicine, but it won't actually cost any medicine if you stop before doing the operation.
Some sort of psychic wave has swept over the landscape. Your colonists are okay, but...
It seems many of the scythers in the area have been driven insane.

The alternative is to wait for nightfall and have your doctor work on the prisoner in his/her sleep.  ;)
