This is the first mod I've made. Originally I just wanted an automatic mining machine but instead I've made this.

The Universal Item Synthesizer
Its a 1 cell storage type box based on the hopper. You can use it to generate anything in the game expect corpses using the storage filter options. It will keep spawning the first item in the allowed option list or any allowed item that's already in the box as long as the box is powered and not full.

Please don't select corpses because it will bug the game and I don't know how to remove corpse category from the options.

This mod contains
Synthesizer research

Does it need a electricity supply?
How fast is it? Is it OP? Because cloning AI Cores sounds pretty op if it just needs a bit electricity and some time :p

EDIT:
Sweet Jesus. Just tested it.
Needs 100 Power and like every 5-10 Seconds it spawns in your Items.
For Immersive play not recommend.
Just for playing around a bit and trying of stuff its more than perfect :D
Every 5-10 Seconds an AI Core and a Weapon of your choice.
As a mining drill ( wich only gives you small amout of metal) it would be cool :P

just use the developer console if you want to do it like that`seriously tho

just a thought. I was messing with Dev mode yesterday to spawn enough hyperweave to make all 10 of my people a shirt, hat and pants.  That was 1,400 clicks. This would have helped in that situation.

You know that there is option to spawn more than one per one unit ? Right ?

Totally!!! Of course I knew that!

But for those other people who don't, could you explain it to them?

lol ;D
In dev mode, just use the button named like "spawn 25 stack of item near" instead of "spawn item near".

The resource must be stackable to be spawned with this button (i.e. you cannot spawn 25 weapons of the same type in 1 click...).

Cool! Thanks for letting me them know. I am sure I they will check it out next time they play.

rages for unknowingly clicking 1344 times more than necessary

Always remember you cannot do anything and not come out of it richer in some way!
By doing this your math skills have improved ever so much for having to count how many clicks you would have saved and now you're also *very* likely to win the next "hook-your-fingers-and-pull-until-the-other-one's-hooked-finger-loses-the-grip" -competition

and maybe even be able to hang on a ledge for a while longer and resisting tweety being able to count *all* the widdle piddies cause one of them is extremely pumped up

skullywag

Widdle piddies....im done...seriously laughing my ass off, people are looking at me funny on the train.
Skullywag modded to death.
I'd never met an iterator I liked....until Zhentar saved me.
Why Unity5, WHY do you forsake me?

Don't people already do that anyway? :D
I like how this game can result in quotes that would be quite unnerving when said in public, out of context. - Myself

The dubious quotes list is now public. See it here

Why Not use the Dev console??

I didn't know I can do that with dev console. The first thing I did was going to forum and looking for mods and how to make mods.

P.S. I still don't know how to use console.

It's tucked/hidden away in the options! (took me a while to notice it, aswell)
There's the "Development mode" which if turned on will give you some dev buttons you can use to spawn events and whatnot!

Use it while we can, because I presume it will eventually be taken out in public builds.
