Nutrient paste dispenser utility ?

i always straight go to the stove to get better mood. the nutrient paste dispenser takes time on research to build it and it gets penality on mood (food ate raw). a meal get +20 bonus while nutrient paste dispenser still gives negative mood (although it reduces the penality). so why spend time on nutrient paste dispenser ? what the utility of nutrient paste dispenser ?

Personally I don't have a use for NPD.  It used to work fairly well for prisoners, but I don't think they can operate NPD any more.  (Could be wrong, as I said I don't use it either.)

My only constructive thing to say is that there's a 3 page thread talking about that very question.
