Awesome all mountain map, possible glitch, seed included.

So I was toying around with seeds looking for an interesting one and stumbled onto this. Apologies for the link, the image was huge.



Now I would throw this into one of the map seed threads but I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not. The first time I pulled it up my power went out without warning before I could save, I spent about an hour using the same seed and size and frustratingly could not reproduce the map, it was in the same spot and had a similar cove in the north but the coast was open much like a normal mountain/ocean map. I came back to the game later, tossed my save folders and tried once more, deciding I would just use the normal map and low and behold this happened again. I saved this time and restarted the game just to be sure it wasn't just a visual error. I've been playing on the map just fine for a bit now. I again tried reproducing it and could not. I copied and saved my world and save files to the desktop and tried again fresh and the giant mountain was back!

Here's the seed and spot. I'd love to know if anyone else can get this map to appear. It seems like it would be a miners dream come true.

Its not a glitch, However! you are extremely lucky to end up in one of the "You have discovered a new area" Area's, so im sure if you dig a little south-east the rest of the map will appear and im betting it would be atleast another 30-40% of the map of land.

Anyway! the map is still friggin amazing =P It's the piratiest map I've seen so far!
you can make some pretty amazing colonies over there
the southern coast is divided in half by some sweet rockformations too (don't show up in the screenshot)

But I may have to settle there in the future =P

Thank you for this find friend. I think I'll go ahead and boot up some of the most industrial savvy mods to really dwarf the living hell out of this zone.

Just use the seed 'dean' in world creation and crash by the lake in that world, shown in the OP, you'll have the same map!
