I AM DONE. THANK YOU CAT123 FOR HATING MY SELF!>:(

JuliaEllie

A description of the modpack and a few generic screenshots would help a lot

Milso

Yea Scan report that file as malicious

AlanerPolska

Huh. Operations don't work, so the gameplay is harder than usually.

Modpack that:

1) Has no original content

2) Is using a lot of other people's mods without credit

3) Has no describing text at all and/or listing if it works with Alpha 7

4) leads to a shortened url link to random dropbox file that's personally owned (bad on two counts here - url shorteners are toxic and there's a multitude of 3rd party hosting sites such as mediafire that offer anonymous hosting)

5) Poster admits he's "collecting the people who go through the link" - wut?

6) Poster states that major game function is broken, when operations are not broken in any major mod currently available

7) Self-posts antivirus report from 3rd part site I've never heard of.

8) Poster links to [img] that constantly refreshes this post when opened - why? No idea. Probably some kind of scam. Inspect element:

<img src="http://www.dropbox.com/s/gxypz66o96jk9cm/Screenshot%202014-11-16%2022.09.17.png?dl=1" alt="" class="bbc_img">

Yeah, so if he's logging his dropbox traffic and setting it to constantly refresh while we're in this thread, then he's being a fucking muppet. dl=1 -- cute. Dickhead.

Are you trying to take the piss? Or just stupid?

Mods... please delete this thread.

I have removed the download links until proper license and credit list is given from the mod authors of the mods used in this mod pack.

Please contact the mod authors and ask them for permission before using there mods in any modpack, unless there license say something else.

If you have any question regarding this decision please PM me.

I just assume that OP didnt have any bad intentions and I will propose a few solutions here. Not taking any sides here :)
Modpack that:

1) Has no original content
Well yeah..
2) Is using a lot of other people's mods without credit
You absolutely HAVE TO give credit - thats common sense and courtesy
3) Has no describing text at all and/or listing if it works with Alpha 7
You should change that..
4) leads to a shortened url link to random dropbox file that's personally owned (bad on two counts here - url shorteners are toxic and there's a multitude of 3rd party hosting sites such as mediafire that offer anonymous hosting)
I would recommend using Sendspace or MediaFire - goo.gl (which I trust) also counts the number of clicks which I assume was your intention.
5) Poster admits he's "collecting the people who go through the link" - wut?
I assume you are only counting clicks right?
6) Poster states that major game function is broken, when operations are not broken in any major mod currently available
yeah thats just wrong
7) Self-posts antivirus report from 3rd part site I've never heard of.
I dont see a problem with that. This site is highly common in "some parts of the internet"
8) Poster links to [img] that constantly refreshes this post when opened - why? No idea. Probably some kind of scam. Inspect element:
yeah please use imgur or tinypic or imageshack

hope this helped a bit and your updated post will be more trustworthy

AlanerPolska

If you want operations working, just turn off mod called "NewRecipeNurse".

Just on the note about VirusTotal. I find it to be quite reliable when scanning suspicious/unknown files. I also like using Comodo Instant Malware Analysis when a file has a high number of detections from VirusTotal.

VirusTotal is literally the only virus-scanning site you need. Every scanner has false positives, even the trusted software that you personally use. VirusTotal cuts through all the false positives and tells you if something is actually malware or not.
