Want to test the game? Great! We could use the help to keep the public alpha releases as bug-free and balanced as possible.

Please note that testing doesn't just mean playing the game. It also means working to investigate and reproduce bugs, write usable, clear reports and package together game saves and log files, and write play stories and balance feedback. It is work, not just play, so before you volunteer just understand that.

And if you're still into it and willing to help out, please post below!

Make sure your purchase email is the one on your forum account.

Thanks all.

I am fine with giving feedback about bugs or other problems that may come up in this new release. I have a lot of free time and would be glad to do some helping.

Tynan

Awesome. Please check the tester forum for onboarding instructions. Thanks.

I wouldn't mind testing, even if I cycle to other games at home I play Rimworld daily thanks to work. My job leaves me with lots of downtime but sadly requires attention often enough to keep movies from being a good option, which also makes it perfect to play Rimworld.

I can (and would) also test on many different hardware configurations, I've got three different intel+nvidia GPU rigs,  AMD+AMD dedicated GPU and AMD+AMD integrated APU rig, and a intel+intelHD integratedGPU laptop.

I'm also used to documentation, many years of working in support roles and dealing with ticketing systems :)

I'd love to do some testing! I've participated in a few different betas, from balance to stress tests. Another excuse to *play* RimWorld would be great. :P

losten

I'd love to join the testing.

Sneezepee

I wouldn't mind testing, it wouldn't be my first time.

Hey, I'd love to bug test Rimworld! I already have a few but, but from the changelog marked with, my favorite, "Guess what! More Bugfixes!". I think they are all probably fixed.

Sometimes I can hear the screams of the alpaca. I'm serious, please help me they're fighting again.

Hi, I volunteer. For once I'll be testing something I really enjoy :)

BassMonroe

I wouldn't mind testing the latest build.
I've tested for quite a few different games in the past and participated in many private tests for PC indies & IOS apps.
I've also got a wide range of hardware to test the game on ranging from

  • 2 PC's built in 2001 & 2004
  • 1 Medium/high end windows 7 desktop(dedicated graphics)
  • 1 windows 8 laptop with integrated GPU
I also understand that testing is not just about playing the latest build but also trying to discover bugs and replicate them. Thanks :)

Montanio

I'll be willing to help test the next release, I generally have some spare time to write up detailed reports and to help replicate issues.

superiorx

I'm more than happy to help test, Tynan. Please let me know : )

Reysuke

i would also volunteer if still needed :)

I am good with the dev menu, and I would love to be a public tester for Rimworld! Sign me up!

Remember guys, do not sign up if your only reason is to get alpha 8 early!

Capsluck

Very much interested in helping with this. I have lots of QA experience.

Cheers
