Quality of items and buildings

What I'm thinking is that an item will not always be the same as each one made, so one pistol could be of brilliant quality will another could have terrible quality and they would have a noticeable difference in how effective they are. when making an item a higher skill along with how much time you want them to spend on each one will result in a better weapon or article of clothing which could also be used for food and construction and all this could really vary how good your colony is.
also sorry if i sound a little spastic in this

If I understood right this kinda thing will be in the upcoming alpha!

These from the changelog;
Created quality component. Crafted things can now have different quality levels. Quality levels are randomized on creation based on the relevant skill of the person who crafted the item (generally Artistic or Crafting).
Quality affects art beauty.
Quality affects melee weapon damage.

Item quality affects market value.
Pawn generate with items of appropriate randomized quality levels.
