Game will not load saves [VER 8E; MODDED]

So, after some time away from the game, I decided to download the game again and waste time before I had to go to work enjoy what was new.

I start a new world, downloaded some mods, and get my colony going. I go to save, and try to load.

But it won't load. The game just freezes and I have to force quit to desktop. Probably because I'm running some mods, but I thought it'd be prudent to let the devs know.

Tried without mods? Classic troubleshooting.
If you can make a new save without mods and you can save then load that ok, then logically it's a mod issue not a game issue.

I noticed you said you wanted to try what was new, are you going from Alpha 7 to 8e?  All the  mods from Alpha 7 won't work iirc in 8+.  I had to redownload and watch for updates for the mods I use.

Try from Alpha 4 to Alpha 8e. I kinda stopped playing after a while, then I got back into things only just recently.

Haven't quite tried this out, but after I get home from work I'll test it out.

Loads of things have been changed between 4 and 8.
You will probably have to generate a new world and found a colony.
