complex world generation inquiry

I would like to make a mod that allows me to save a colony (and everything in it) as it is, and then remove the world around it and generate a new one.

i was just wondering if this would be possible with rimworld's current moddability, and how much coding skill it would take.
On the right path, but the wrong medication.

I like how there's a thing that displays how long you've logged in to the forums. It shows just how many hours you've spent here, never to get back...

It'd be quite cool, but impossible with the current codebase afaik. One thing I'd like to do is be able to completely generate a map and have them as excursions I guess, and then return them to their home (exploration, new caves, new wormholes etc).
