One of my randomized starting characters is named Isis...in light of current world events I think this might be slightly inappropriate.

Good thing it's also just a name and I think it's extremely petty to blacklist names as unutterables like Voldemort because of any events, recent or historic.

Most western media are now calling what was known as "ISIS" > "ISIL" now, because "ISIS" is actually a somewhat common girls name (I know of a little girl named Isis).

Also, it's a quite common routing protocol if that helps

Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS)
Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)
Islamic State (IS)

Among others.

It's also the name of an ancient Egyptian goddess. And quite a nice name for a woman, I think, until some assholes ruined it.
