You could build a door for you research bench room and place a prisoner bed spot, for early prison area.
Maybe set soil area next to hydroponic as a grow zone from your slow growing plants.
or extra food.
Maybe don't set bed spots for a day and abit so your colonist work the first night period and you get set up earlier.
or make the bed of colonists you want to work as medical.
