Your Predictions for Alpha 9

Now that we know more A9 features, what are your predictions for how they'll impact gameplay?

I predict:
-growing will become increasingly important to supply hops for booze and cotton for tattered clothing
-uranium will be used in artillery shell manufacturing now that it's mineable
-grenades will be super useful again personal shields

Bonus speculation:
-corn and rice used for hard alcohol alcohol
-drunk chefs causing food poisoning
-drunk or hungover doctors making catastrophic surgical errors
-rice will be growable in marsh, since fertilizer pump removed

I'll actually have to bother with crafting as a source of income and outfitting my colonists now that raiders' clothing will deteriorate!

I predict Tynan made this whole game just for me, and really everyone else just thinks he made it for everyone, and so because he made it just for me, Alpha 9 will be released on my birthday, March 10. :P

Agh. All the threads I'm seeing in the forum right now are about Steam, Alpha 9, or something about how-tos and (dead) colonists.

I predict that mechanoids will finally get nerfed back down to reasonable levels.

I predict my colonise will have three phases.

1: Struggle to survive
2: Making tons of cash so I can ignore most penalties.
3: Everyone idle spends their time getting drunk, as there's bugger all else they can do.

I predict people going stir crazy about A9 breaking most of the mods taken for granted and also weaponised alcohol

You guys are forgetting all the actual cool parts, Yes theres alcohol and hangovers... But crafting is getting A HUUUGE Makeover, Crafting ranged weapons with quality and accuracy differentials yes please... Finally i shall make a master dwarven craft minigun

Also as was mentioned above cant wait to farm new resources and make clothing (Though i doubt either will be immediate)

Speaking of clothing, anyone know if that tynan of ours is letting us make power armor or armor vests and the like? or is that the next crafting release alpha 10?

Space Aliens
Landing on new planets
Nuclear strikes against enemy factions
Leeks
In Game notepad
Tornadoes
Anti-drop pod cannons for shooting down enemy drop pods (think anti-air)
Hunting dogs and domesticated animals
Better hunting AI

Can we not hope for a February release, or has Tynan stated otherwise? :P

Edit:
I ask, because more and more "Misc. fixes" are popping up in the changelog (Jan 20, 23, 29, 30). Gives me the impression that he's tidying up for a release, though he could just be fleshing his changes out before focusing on the next bit.
