Hey, I tried the unstable Version 3 days ago and it wasn't working with my modlist anymore (I don't know, if you did another unstable branch after that)

I got a list of errors (most of them caused by the Clan of Cthulhu Mod) and after loading my savegame startet but there were  no people left in my colony. I tried to fix that (also with the same modorder as before) but I could'nt figure out a solution so I turned unstable branch off and now its working fine again as before... Sorry that I can't give you more informations (I put my Modlist as attachment)
(By the way: Tynan, thank you for the best game since years!)

I really like the new things for the rooms and the poker table.
Tornados are looking great and dangerous! (Are there any solid blocks that can resist a tornado? [There should, or at least give a chance to resists - to make a panic tornado room.]
Also cool with the sleeping bags, was missing that before and had to use a mod for it. Interesting solution, that tribe people have no beds, but the sleeping bags, while normal colonys got no sleeping bags from beginning, is good for me.
The animals still seem to be feed with meals, what was my biggest concern and problem for longetime farming/chickens), https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=78771

But besides that, looking like a great update! Also the new plants are making a huge difference! (even if swamps looking a bit crowded)

I would love that. At least you are dealing with your colonist a long time... They all got their personality and history. So that should be represented in kind a way with their rooms.
It could refer to their own history, their attributes, if they are from a desert or from the jungle, a tribe, space or former pirates. As well if they are addicted to drugs, had a lover, or a pet or a marriage. Also in there time in the colony they get memorys which could or should be represented (also as they should/could gain attributes over time :D) There could be personal plantpots, where they choose the plant inside. A globe for an Traveler or a bong for a joint smoker... :) Of course there shouldn't be to much of detailed stuff, but at least 1-2 items/objects per colonist, which they would take with them if you change their room or if they have to leave the map with a carawan.
It would really look more indivdual as rimworld is, and not that sterile all the same bedroomstyle as it is right now.

I support almost everything. A lot of it are just making sense, and it's silly, that they are not implemented or fixed yet. Please Tynan, take a look at this list, and help to make the game more playable for longplays. More features yes - also, but we need the most of this so badly

Ideas / Don't let the chickens eat my fine meals

Hey,
I got something, that is still not fixed/balanced after the last update -
While animals are more worth now for farming, chickens are not - they lose their hunger soo fast, even while sleeping, so they are getting a buff, and some of my colonists are coming to them to rescue with my best meals.
It's happening in generall, when an animal is hurt and recovering or if they need suddenly food like the chickens. Wouldn't it be possible to set the colonist to try first to feed them with hay if its possible, or kibble, and with lower priority with raw veg/meat and just if nothing else is reachable with meals? Would be really good... otherwise chickens are still not worth it. Even if you make a certain area just for them, they eat to much and to fast and are running every colony. I really played a lot and had big colonies (also in the latest alpha) with 40+ colonists and dozents of farm animals.
Also there is not enough grass, even in bioms where there should be infinite grass, I restrict every farm animal to the map area which is looking like a maze or a puzzle, 'cause i leave every where places left for the grass to recover, but after you got some animals its just not recovering fast enough or they don't get enough nutrition per grass. To get finally back to the chickens - they go in the night to the stall, alle other animals also, but in the morning they are sometimes already starving and they try to reach new grass at the end of the map, but before they arrive there, they are coming already back to go to sleep and are still hungry. It's also sometimes the Problem with turkeys, but the most problems are with chickens.
