Probably a bit more impact than you wanted, but you could create a new scenario in which both types of thunderstorm are disabled from occurring.

Nobody any idea? Still having the error every time I press escape!

EDIT: Fixed, Canute's suggestion worked. Thanks Canute. I put my saved games and scenarios aside, deleted the steam directory, uninstalled and removed everything, then reinstalled and dropped my saves and scenarios back in their folder. No more bug pop-ups!

----

Hi all and thanks in advance for helping!

I'm playing 0.19 through Steam after one of the unstable 1.0 updates broke my game. (I got the black screen that follows immediately upon Initialising, in the game title screen. I tried everything I could find online. A re-install caused Steam to automatically reset me to the 0.19 version, which worked, so I've just kept playing that. Still the same saved-game from early in unstable 1.0)

Moving on to the error message. It occurs as a Debug log pop-up, and then another pop-up. I can close and click OK on both of them, and then proceed to play as normal, but I get the same two messages again when I enter the Options menu ingame, and again whenever I'm trying to save or load. None of this makes the game unplayable, and I can still do everything as normal, the pop-ups are just annoying. Besides, I'm worried that one day I won't be able to access my very precious saved-game anymore due to this bug.

I play on permadeath. I used to play with a couple mods in previous versions, but in the meantime I've deleted their entire folders and done a clean re-install.

I've used the 'Copy to clipboard' debug log (see attachment), and taken a screenshot of the second pop-up. I used image editing software to merge two screenshots of the second pop-up into a single image, as it was just a few too many lines to fit into the window.

Judging by the error message wording, it appears to be an issue related to mods and accessing folders. I've unticked the "read only" property of the entire \LocalLow\Ludeon Studios folder, that didn't resolve it.

Does anyone know what causes these errors and what things I could try to fix them?

Thanks in advance!

A long-time fan

Hey all,

I've happily been playing Rimworld version 0.9.722 (released on Feb 18) for quite some time. Today I installed a driver update, and my old save games won't properly work anymore.

Here is the screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/VoqJ1nY.jpg

The save games can be opened, but none of the textures will load and the game is essentially blank apart from the interface (see screenshot). The error screen pops up immediately and starts listing "Object reference not set to an instance or an object", racking up into the thousands. Note that when I tried starting a new colony, everything worked fine.

Here's a link to the output_log.txt from my Rimworld data folder: https://www.scribd.com/doc/261946581/Output-Log

I am running Windows 8.1 on a very decent gaming notebook. The update for my built-in graphics card by NVIDIA GeForce Experience has been pending for about ten days prior to today.

Now there are various things I can try to get my old save games to work again.

- I could undo the install of the graphics driver using Windows' restore function.
- I could export the save games, reinstall Rimworld, place them back in the folder and hope they work.
- I could try looking into the settings of my graphics driver and see if I can fix it.
- I could give up on the old saves and just start over.
- ?

Tips, suggestions, questions for additional information, solutions; it's all welcome.

Thanks a load in advance!

Hey there! I've been getting into Rimworld and I'd like to contribute to the Dutch translation.

As the majority of the work seems to be completed, perhaps I could help proof-read and fine-tune the translations. I'm a native Dutch.

I've made a GitHub account, could anyone please tell me how to get started?

Many thanks,
