may i ask what software do you guys recommend for recording on win7?

i tried using fraps (the free version), but the savefile was just too large and i ended up with several gigs for just a few minutes of video.  :-\

nevermind, i just figured it out.  ;D

Turn on webcam and put mirror in front of notebook. Works on all systems.
Please... Throw human readable errors on savefile parsing failure!!!

But that would make everything flipped! You'll need TWO mirrors :D
I like how this game can result in quotes that would be quite unnerving when said in public, out of context. - Myself

The dubious quotes list is now public. See it here

I know I'm a bit late but,
I would recommend Mirillis Action,
it's kinda free (by that I mean, its free but there is a watermark thingy)
But it is great for recording games!
It has a overlay thingy that tells you what frames the game is running at and also whether you are recording or not :)
I used fraps for awhile but my friend bought me a key for Mirillis, so I transfered over to it and it is much better!
Its way ore smoother, videos look smoother, and if you want to upload raw footage, you can upload it straight from the software to your YouTube account! :)
