I can not unzip the file after I have downloaded it because it is a .rar file not a .zip file. Please help?

When downloading the file I can not unzip the file for it is not a .zip file it is a .7z file. Any help with this please?

I have the newest update 408 downloaded and I am getting a window ""RimWorld408Mac" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.". Does anyone know about this, Ty told me try the forums because he is not a mac guy.
