I was playing on Rimworld 1.1 on my laptop perfectly fine with no lag whatsoever. Then for some reason I had to re-install Windows. So I reinstalled Windows and downloaded the game again. But now, my game lags horribly on main menu screen itself!
The cursor moves fine, but the button presses are veery slow (like 2-3 frames on main menu)
Rest all games like CSGO, Valorant runs just fine, only Rimworld is lagging.
What might be the issue?
Few efforts I did:
Re-installed rimworld
Started a clean slate (No mods, no saves)
Set Rimworld to use my main graphic card rather than integrated one

Could you take a look at the log file (player.log) at the beginning you should see what videocard (Renderer: ) rimworld use.
Since you reinstall the OS, i don't think you forget to update the videodriver ?

Yes you are right. Apparently, my Monitor drivers were outdated.
I downloaded a 3rd Party Software to update my Monitor Display Driver (because according to Windows my drivers were up to date).
After updating it, it fixed a lot of issues one of them including Rimworld to run properly again.
I had no Brightness slider, no Battery power options.
After updating monitor drivers, everything fixed.
So yeah, it was my Monitor driver (My video driver,Nvidia, was up-to-date too though)
