If you improve the soil where the cotton is growing with mulch, water and so on (research agriculture to unlock the enhanced soils), you can push the cotton's growth rate up to either 130% or 140% of normal, which speeds it along handily.

Generally speaking, it's better to grow the enhanced crops on the enhanced soil, but improving your xergium, cotton, and hay stands can have a notable effect on your colony.

These are excellent.

As these are sound replacers, you might want to go find the original sounds and rename them to *_old or something in case you're worried about them being replaced.

But odds are you won't want to go back ;)

Hey folks!

Has anyone found a way in this pack to replace a broken bone? I've got a colonist with a shattered clavicle and a bionic arm did not replace it. Would a bionic spine help? Or is there a way to make artificial bones?

It's a pretty hefty penalty to manipulation, so I'd love to fix it up.

Hey folks!

Has anyone run into a bug where a wounded and subsequently treated character refuses to work and their current action changes to "Standing"?

I've only had it happen in this mod pack, so I'm curious if it's a known bug.

If you're using Superior Crafting, Electronic Chips are made at the Smithing Table and take Sand and Silver to craft them. To unlock the Smithing table, you need to research Crafting III.

If you're using Complete Overhaul or Hardcore, I would guess it's something similar as they are based on SC to some extent, but I'm not sure exactly where to find them.

A combo of things:

1. Got comfy with cannibalism. Didn't really see any other way to keep food up.
2. Got lucky with a massive cavern that had some exposed soil (and stone and perma-ice, too) when I heated it. Naturally found this when I was mining into a mountain to make a base.
3. Wind power seemed the quickest way to get heaters up and running. Steel was not too hard to find.

Even then, only one of my original colonists is still alive, and she lost both arms to raids at various points. I've been lucky to grow enough that we're at the Chemlab/Organ Vat/Smithing table level of tech finally, but it's been pretty hard, even then.

The other-side-of-the-map evil ship drop didn't help any, either. Eeesh.

Hey folks!

I've been trying out a new ice-sheet game with SC (latest), and while it's crazy fun so far, I just noticed something in an attack of about a dozen tribespeople, many of whom have ranged weapons.

They never fired a ranged attack through my embrasures. Just melee attacked them. This didn't match what happened in A10 when I played with SC, so I'm wondering if it's a bug, and, if so, if anyone's figured out a fix.
