Weather+
A mod about letting hell loose in your backyard.


So yeah, this is a reboot of my old mod called New Weathers. For now it includes three different weathers.

For now i'll just try and get it up and running again, maybe adjusting it a little, as well as adding some pics for you folks to look at. I've already got a few things which i'll want to look into, but for now enjoy the weather and have a nice day!


Hurricanes
So first up, here we have the Hurricanes. Swift, brutal and destined to ruin a perfectly nice day; here they are on return. Strong wind, dark skies, with rain and... um... more rain i guess? Anyway. The Hurricanes are on return in the Weather+ modpack and as you may have guessed already, it includes rain, some strong wind, as well as some clouds.


Whiteout
"Oh, there you are! I couldn't see a thing before, there's just to god damn much snow out there..."

Okay, so this one is a kind of redecorated type of weather, which i just didn't really feel like anymore, emerging as something entirely new. As for what the weather is about, i'll let you figure that out yourself...


Intensive Dry Thunderstorms
"Well, that's some funny clouds, think ya think?" And so said the lone wanderer to himself, right before it struck him.

So yeah, old things can learn new stuff it seems. Reborn as Intensive Dry Thunderstorms, you'll now be able to experience some good ol' lightning.

- Download the content and place it in your RimWorld/Mods folder.
- Activate the mod in the mod menu in the game.

New Weather
This mod is supposed to add to the small things in the game, and not making a huge game changer. Mostly something that you don't realise is there, and then suddenly it is. I was inspired making a mod that only adds a limited amount of content by Kirid with his mod Alpha Muffalos. Link to his mod: https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=3060.0

Hurricanes
The hurricanes are intended to be something that can easily be overcome, while in ideal situations, but can also be a huge penalty in a less ideal situation. These hurricanes usually lasts a few days and come by in the summer months. (unless it's freezing where you are.)

Local Decompression
The local decompression is a weather which can be seen around 0 degress, usually in the spring or fall.
The concept is that an unknown event decompresses the atmosphere around your colony, leading to the following snow and fog.


Some colonists are minding their own business, when a Local Decompression occurs and the colony is suddenly engulfed in a thick layer of snow.

This was suggested by 'TheEpicNoob2014'


Firestorms
Sets your wold on fire! Quite literally...

Now there's a reason to look out for those warm, hot, periods of weather due to firestorms occuring, taking the lands down in a sea of flames if you aren't to lucky.

Darkness Compatible

That's right! The all in one pack now have two different versions. One that's just normal and then there's the compatible pack! The pack is designed to be played together with Viceroy's Darkness mod, which can be found here: https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=10327.0

Remember that this version of the mod should only be used when using the darkness mod; if you want everything to look optimal. But it can be used without.

About requests and what i can make.
Requests are welcome! Just remember that i have one restriction; i do not have the skills that allows me to make new dll content at the moment. So yes, as cool as it would be, sadly i won't be able to extend this mod with any new weather effects in the near future.

But remember that i will accept requests which i find that i will be able to make - which means that every request which have effects that are included in the vanilla game can be accepted. Weathers that require new dll content most likely won't.



Changelog
22/02 15 - Compability version of the All In One Pack have just been released. You can now play this mod together with the Darkness mod by Viceroy.
20/02 15 - Updated everything to alpha 9.
02/02 15 - Firestorm have been released.
18/01 15 - Changed the amount of snow generated over time by local decompressions.
18/01 15 - Changed the duration of the weathers. This should fix the very short/long/random duration.
15/01 15 - Corrected a minor error in the Local Decompression mod.
