I have some suggestions for more fortifications. Caltrops and moats. The caltrops could slow movement and damage the feet and legs to further slow movement and cost steel. Moats would just be another slowing device. I don't know code and if these would even be easy (or worthwhile) to make.

Hell the game almost feels like a full game already to me. Especially with the ability to add mods to your game in the early stage of building, I can see this becoming a classic that will live long into the Pantheon of gaming.

I see how this is more logical but maybe just in the beginning phase it should be survivor or whatever,then as you get the actual colony name it can be colonist. Pretty small thing to worry about. Plus,lets be honest, I'm sure a lot of people usually play Rimworld and dont bother leaving your little humble colony until a very long time.

Not sure what the plans are (if there are any) on water,but to be a survival game,I'd think that water would be a crucial element to the game. Again,not sure what the plans for water are,but it'd be nice addition to the game for a new crucial survival key. I mean colonist are drinking beer. Maybe I'd rather nice (possibly dirty >~<) water. Fish could be caught and rice would have a more approriate place to go. Maybe this is too much? Or a silly idea thats not thought out too much? Maybe i'm just spewing nonsense? Maybe I hit the mark? WHO KNOWS (Edit: Seeing how this could drastically effect the game in major ways that its basically not the same,I'd think it would be more healthy as a mod idea than an actual implementation. Though if plans for water are there in a way I haven't thought of and is easy,by all means go ahead.

Ideas / Brain Fixing

You would think that in 5500 there would be something to fix a brain, or even an artificial brain.I would think that there would be a way,maybe only on glittertech planets,but a way to fix the brain when its damaged. Maybe like a computer thing to upload a character's personality for a one time use to be able to put that personality into a persona core (or something else) and replaced that with the brain. Of course it would probably have to be pretty expensive since a brain is no easy thing. Might need to iron out details and the idea.

Ideas / Base Raids/Visiting

So when I open up the planet screen to choose my spot I see where other factions have set up base right? They can visit me and attack me but I can't. Well what if I could? You could be able to open up the map,click on where there base is shown and have a menu to Raid or Visit. Raiding would consist of you choosing your people to raid the base. If you would kill every member of the faction they would be wiped (but possibly replaced after a while) and you can get their resources. Visiting would help boost goodwill with a faction (though no visiting pirates because they would probably kill you) and you can have social chats with their members and possibly convert one of their members to your colony. There is probably a lot of polishing to the this idea but thats the basic idea I could come up with.
