Ah, yes, I can do that. I wasn't sure what all you would need. I picked error instead of output log. And thanks for moving this. Like I said, I wasn't quite sure where to put this. Don't use forums too often.

Okay, so, problem. The file is 762 kb and the max limit for the forum is 600. Pastebin is even smaller without paying. So what I'm going to do is split it in half and post two replies. If there's a better way for future reference, please let me know!

So, I'll start this out by saying, yes, I do use mods. A good few of them, actually. For the most part, it's run pretty well, but I've found an extremely odd crash. Also, I hope this is the right place to put this...

So I was playing the other night when I noticed one of my characters had simply stopped moving. She was just standing there, literally. Her job was "Standing". For a while I could manually make her do stuff, but eventually that quit working. I run in dev mode most of the time for bug reasons, and earlier she had hit the limit on searching for something. So I reverted my save and changed up what I was doing and all seemed to go well until something crazy happened with her.

She was the main cook, but we either had no food to cook or she just refused to. Instead, she decided to clean up the area. It was fine and all, as I could easily send her to go cut stone. But when that became tiresome, I decided to change her work order so she would do it automatically. Boom, crash, out of memory. I get a crash log (that I'll put down later) saying about how I ran out of memory. I said okay, it's likely a mod, so I went through and cleaned out some that I hadn't been using. Not even bothering to test the old save, I created a new one.

With the power of Prepare Carefully and God mode, I essentially recreated my last state. I had even gone so far as to replace everyone's bionics and prosthetics. But as soon as I unpause the game, boom, crashes again for the same reason. Same person. I have my speculations as to why, it involves some of the girl's bodily upgrades, but it doesn't make any sense. So, I've come here for help as I'm too inept to figure out what this means or even if I'll be giving you the right information. This is a shorter version, removing a lot of what I recognize as useless junk. (Something about the Stack that is just a thousand random characters and a ton of different modules that have to do with what the game uses to run, I believe.)

I heard of similar problems, but I don't think there's 200 animals on the map let alone 200 in a room. I let all of my pets roam free within a large area that's fairly safe from panthers and such.
I also had been letting my chickens roam in a large area, including outside the perimeter wall.  But I also had a bunch of animal beds and sleeping spots inside the wall, so they tended to want to go back and forth.  Perhaps it doesn't take a large number of animals, but if enough of them try to get from one place to another.

I neglected to put down more than like 4 beds. Most of them sleep outside or in the freezer. And with how sudden and consistent it was, I doubt it was that. I was playing it normally and then suddenly had around half a frame per second. This one was actually worse than before in that regard, because I usually have at least 2 frames a second. And it doesn't die down, so unless they're stuck going back and forth, that's likely not it.

I installed the mod suggested above and now my 21 years colony with 19 colonist went from near unplayable to running swimmingly smooth.

I have either 8 or 9 colonists, like 10 or 15 tamed animals, a like 4 robots, only one of which has an AI remotely similar to colonists, and I haven't been down for more than 2 years. Some games I can hit 4 years, some, like this one, a year and a half or so.

Yeah, I saw this and fear it's the only way to save my game. The problem is, I have the Psychology mod in it which would likely crash if I tried to remove it or add this one.

Yes, I have. And it worked amazingly at first. But now I can hit every button in that thing and it does nothing.

I myself have all my games framerate drop when i hit around 13 colonist and gets progressively worse until i hit around 20+ which the game game starts stuttering to the point that i can't continue playing it.

I thought that, too, and checked, but I'm barely jumping over half of my cpu and memory usage even with chrome doing stuff in the background. So it's got to be something ingame.

This seems to happen to every game I have at random points through the colony's lifetime. As time progresses, colonists tend to jump a tiny bit here and there, nothing big. But suddenly, everything will just hit the fan at once and I can't get a steady framerate in normal speed, let alone the max speed I usually play at. My latest one, and my final straw, happened today. Sometimes I can get away with resetting the game to refresh everything, but I've finally hit the limit and I need to know what causes it. I use plenty of mods, but that doesn't seem to make a difference, especially with how sudden it is. One second I'm choosing what to research, the next I'm trying to make the game move. I'd really appreciate anyone who has any idea as to what I should do to help.

Thank you tons! I created a colony and was doing pretty well, but I only had a few colonists and crap weapons. Then I got three raids in a row, literally minutes between the first and second, and instant from second to third. I couldn't win after already losing a colonist in the second raid and the third being twice the size. I needed something like this. I just hope I can use it without starting a new colony...

So.... My character has a melee level of 40..... is that supposed to happen?
