Off-Topic / Re: I made a game: Wanderlust (NEW BLOG POST!)
September 12, 2017, 12:19:08 AM
I updated the game, bringing it to 0.0.14, with a tiny bugfix update, and also updated the blog explaining my absence and slow development pace, along with a new poll.

I drop my ice cream.

And only cry a little.

It's unfortunate that it's impossible to still download the old versions.
I usually only play Alpha 7/8/9 even nowadays because i just like it so much more than the current versions.
So i'm very glad i kept those files, but i would very much like to have every alpha.
Would be great if the sendowl links also included previous versions, i doubt it's ever gonna happen though.

If you ever want to check out the old alphas, i still play them regularly on twitch, currently a modded A8 version.

Really? Out of curiosity, why do you like them so much more? I personally much prefer the latest version, but A8 was the version i saw when i first discovered RimWorld, and i'd love to be able to play it.

Thanks anyway!

I got into the game during the A13 period. After A14 was released and RimWorld got onto Steam, i got my Steam key and have since then played it via Steam. Recently, i decided to re-download A13 for nostalgia.

That got me wondering, are there any ways for me to play older RimWorld versions, A12 and older? I have the prototype pack and all that stuff is super interesting, i want moar! Thanks!

Only if you self archived, which being that you didn't start until A13 means that is the oldest one you will legally have.

Ah, crap.

QuoteOn Steam everyone can play back as far as A14 currently through the beta options.

Yeah, i've already backed up those versions.

Thanks for the help!

When i first started RimWorld, and made my first colony, i was playing while my two brothers were sitting next to me watching.

I miss-clicked on a pawn named Lemon and realized you can strip her. Both of my brothers said to do it. I declined.

Then they both started chanting "STRIP LEMON! STRIP LEMON! STRIP LEMON!"

To this day this is still an inside joke.

Gotta love RimWorld.

I guess this isn't game related buut eeeeehhhh...

Gosh, i can't believe it's been a year already.

I had some intense writer's block and just sorta forgot about this, along with my other stories, entirely. Then i think i fell into a cryptosleep pod. Seriously, over a year, how the heck did i manage that?

Coming back to them, ugh, they're really cringie. Er, cringy. Or whatever.

I think i'll come back to this sometime, along with my other stories i've since abandoned. Probably tomorrow, or somewhere in the coming week.

If any of you really liked my works of fiction, please consider helping me with my current project: Wandlerlust. (FYI, i had no idea one of the updates was called Wanderlust, i'm not ripping off Ludeon, i swear!)

Here's the link: https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=35170.0

Again, sorry for the long hiatus. A lot of stuff's been going on IRL. I plan to start updating my stories a tad more often, but no promises!

HOW TOUGH AM I?!

I once left a public bathroom.

Without washing my hands.

I enjoy music from horror games and such that sounds like screaming or is otherwise extremely loud and obnoxious. Don't judge me.

The Gravity Falls theme also gets stuck in my head all day.

That was pretty cool, but it feels so... generic. It feels like you found a horror story, made it like zork, then continued on from there. Although it is good, make it have a little flare please!

Don't worry, i have a vague idea for a cool ending. Also, sorry for the errors, the link never works. I'll fix it in a second.

It's my sister's b-day today so i'll probably be taking the day off. Expect an update in a day or so.

Also, i'm making it so you have small plot points revealed to you over time. I want them to be vague but not impossible to figure out. Does anyone have any conspiracy theories on the backstory yet i could hear?

So i found a website called Inklewriter (https://www.inklestudios.com/inklewriter/) which lets you make your own interactive stories for free. I always wanted to make my own games, and i thought this would be a good place to start. I learned how to use it and lo and behold here's a game:

https://writer.inklestudios.com/stories/x54q

It's a sort of RPG, and i've spent a lot of time on it. I only have the first chapter done and it's still in it's beta stage, but i spent alot of time on it and i'm proud of it! I hope you like it!

Also, after you complete it, make sure to check out the blog (Located in the extras menu), it has some strawpolls i need answered.

BTW I desperately need bug-testers. If you find any bugs, REPORT THEM TO ME VIA PM IMMEDIATELY! You'll get a spot in the special thanks!

I forgot about this thread. But fyi, Suntop was killed in a raid and my file was corrupted. Suntop was given our top grave.

May her beautiful soul rest in peace.

QuoteWell, at least th...(Another tear)...nt a total loss. I sat down quietly sobbing, and William came up and put his arms around me and hugged me. Score!

Nice idea, describing the story from Rimworld through a lost teenager's eyes. Sounds promising.
Waiting for more!

Well, i'm glad you enjoyed! And that gif is awesome, i had a good laugh outta that. I should hopefully be able to get the next part up later today, but i can't promise anything.

Shooting: 8 (Video games can teach you alot more about guns than you think.)
Melee: 7 (Believe it or not i throw a mean punch.)
Social: 2 (I live in the country, what do you expect?)
Animals: 4 (I have chickens, turkeys, guinea birds and a dog irl. I happen to believe birds tend to like me.)

Cooking: 7 (Watch me make pancakes. According to my siblings, best in the world.)
Construction: 3 (I've never even painted a wall.)
Growing: 4 (Stuff a seed in the ground, dump water on it. How hard could it be?)
