That, and I've been moving cities and setting up a new apartment. Then moving apartments again because my first one filled with cigarette smoke every day or two.

Why on Earth...?

I'd have been furious. Like, apocalyptically furious. I'd let the owners or super know exactly how mad I was. As someone who suffers bad asthma in the presence of smoke (especially tobacco smoke,) I'd have been ready to hit the roof and go into orbit.

I dearly hope they apologized for the trouble and you're only moving apartment within the same building/complex, or if you had to move out, they're providing assistance and forgiving your lease.

Seriously. I smoke, and try to be as polite about it as possible. Plus, even if I owned my own place, I would NEVER smoke indoors. It's tacky, and ruins electronics...

Hey Cologan, I checked, you're recognized as a Name in the Game backer, you just have to log out and log in again to gain access to the form.

A small error on the application form:
You can't leave the nickname column empty.
If you do, an error occured: 'The Nickname must not include special characters.'

This is fixed, thanks for the report.

I'm having this error still, "Nickname" is empty and clicking on submit does nothing. (No error message even, just no advancement at all)

If I'm not mistaken, Tynan has said animal farming will be an early addition to the game.

As far as the frontier justice part, just turn a group into militia, right click and "hunt" away, it's possible currently. 

With all due respect, your language and fascination does not do you credit on that front. I find it hard to believe you have anything other on mind than just to get a few giggles. And for your few giggles you can do well without - quite a lot of people would feel disgusted.

Maybe it's not intended, but you're coming off pretty prudish here. I think it's perfectly okay for sex and relationships to be in the game, (Especially how ShadowDragon describes, simple hearts above the bed) and the layers of mental effects it would add would be large.

Plus, this game has courtesans already, and is inspired by Firefly. I don't see a problem there... Personally, I'd even love to see the ability to run a viable courtesan colony to add that extra sim layer to the game.

Again, nothing has to be graphic, or gender-centric - but I'd like to see more relationships.

Honestly, I think the real issue is people aren't taking advantage of melee. Guys, if your are punching the guys with the M-16/24's they aren't shooting you. 10 dmg a hit is a lot better than 50-55.

Do you have a specific strategy for this? Anytime I've rushed snipers, they've torn even medium-ish groups apart before they reach melee range.

I think what he's referring to, and what I'm confused about, is the extra file. I've got the Pre-Alpha for the three OS's, the earlier games, and some .txt zip referring to a key, which also contain says something about it being a "content" or Name" generator, I can't remember.

What is that file?

I'm thrilled. Easily one of the most satisfying projects I've backed on KS, and now, I have my post-work night all locked up, haha. 

Hey, I'm jesus_h_pizza! I've had this screenname in some form across forums and games for years, used as a once temporary account name back in the days of marathoning games in my friend's basement.

I live on the Northwest Coast in the US, enjoy beer, good food and cooking, gaming (of course) and hanging out with my cats and girlfriend on lazy days.

-What introduced you to RimWorld? Or to this style of game in general?
I recently discovered kickstarter, and found this trawling for more games to support. I've always had an itch to scratch since "Stronghold" for sim building with action elements. The concept looked solid, and gameplay(!) at the funding stage sold me.
-What's your favorite other game?
Oh man, this question... Too many. I love MML, Minecraft, SotC, and many current and classic titles. I play most genres and a mixture of indie and AAA titles.
-Most embarrassing gaming-related story?
That's difficult to say. I do still jump every time my tool breaks in Minecraft. EVERY. TIME.
-What kind of breakfast cereal is the best?
Suffice to say, my cereal cabinet has plenty of kid choices. I don't have kids.
