I think we can justify some more Star Wars.

The healer mechanites are a brand new addition in the base game, but are extremely rare, like nuerotrainers. Luciferium does heal permanent injuries, but does so sporadically. You're best bet for finding some is from bulk goods trainers or ancient ruins.

My recomendation is to put him into cryptosleep casket until you find some healing serum, that way you don't have to supply him with expensive drugs that induce beserk rages.

Ideas / New Order: Gathering
December 02, 2017, 05:39:32 PM
When wild plants are set to be harvested  (which has to be done quite often when on the road) colonists can only harvest then haul (i.e. a colonist will harvest until there is nothing left to harvest the and, assuming the right priorities are set, will start hauling the food back, usually in small increments due to the small pick-up radius of pawns). This leads to a ridiculous amount of time wasted on the back-and-forth hauling, unless the player micromanages, which sucks the fun out of a game.

To solve this, a new order can be created called "gather." When plants are set to be "gathered," colonists will harvest a plant, stick the food into his inventory, and will repeat until he has 75 units, then will go to the prefered stockpile, drop them, then do it again until there are no more plants set to "gather." This will make foraging easier to do and pawns will be less unintelligent.

In short: We need an order that combines hauling and harvesting because the current system of foraging isn't effective

You can use drop pods both ways, if you establish a colony, build some drop pods, use them, then abandon the new "colony." I recommend the mod Set Up Camp for this, as it allows one to generate small encounter maps while caravaning, which takes up far fewer resources than generating a full-fledged colony map.

This ia a good idea, but in the mean time I recomend getting a note book, making a Word/Google, etc.

Even if the mountain collapses, the overhead mountain will remain. However, I remember seeing droppods removing overhead mountains back in A15, so you could try that.

Tynan himself has said that he spends quite a bit of time readin suggestions and the such and takes notes (don't ask where, I can't remember, but it was on the forums). Given this, he has probably seen and read some of your comments.

General Discussion / Re: Why do mechanoids attack?
November 17, 2017, 05:34:38 PM
I've always assumed that there were advanced societies on the rimworlds we play on, and that they were capable of creating mechanoids. Society collapses, giant killer robots remain. Then there's the random ships full of mechanoids from other planets, maybe even trancendent worlds, that occasionally hit the planet (hence the thousands of years of age that some mechanoids have reached).

People have always distrusted foreigners, often hating them. Why should mostly ignorant tribesmen be any different?

General Discussion / Re: Animal size and Predation

I believe that if no other food is close, then an animal will go after colonists. Nothing like having your ankles chewed off by a fox.

No, just tirelessly slamming away at a slowly disintegrating laptop, spewing forth essays on random literature related subjects.

Also, the unofficial drink of where I live is either Budweiser or Coors Lite, with Lone Star being the go-to cheap stuff. I can't say for certain, though, since I've never tried beer, despite with the 7411 times I've seen the stuff.

My first three will always have a special place in my heart, as well as the rest of my first colony. They told a story, a hell of a story too, of success, failure, hilarity, and bad-ass-ery. How could I not remember that colorful bunch of misfits?
