I'll have to carefully consider milon's suggestion of multi-select config or settings copy/paste.

Is it possible to let us 'parent' a zone to another zone, so that changes in the first zone affect child zones? That would restore most or all use cases that were lost here.

... 200 C seems AWFULLY low for autoignition of human flesh. Should be closer to 600-800 C?

Boomrats just got mega scary. Had one stuck in my base, forgot about him, he starved...only YOU can prevent base fires..kill boomrats...outside

... That's weird. I understand boomrats exploding from violent death, but exploding from starvation?

It's doable, I just haven't done it. Hasn't been that important yet.

So, does that suggest you might intend to add a floor layer above the terrain layer at some point?

I'm of the opinion I've already gotten all of my** money's worth, given that Tynan set out to create a system in which stories are generated, and by golly, I've generated stories with it. And read about stories generated with it.

Could it be more 'feature complete'? Sure. Does it achieve its stated goal? Most definitely. And I think that's the most important thing.

**Admission: A friend of mine purchased this for me as a gift, so 'my' money is his money, but he's gotten HIS money out of it out of what I've experienced, so I think my point stands.

General Discussion / Re: Call for Alpha 5 testers
June 27, 2014, 04:24:48 PM
If you still need more people, I've been working as a hobbyist programmer for the last 15 years, and have been involved with alpha through beta tests in various segments of the industry. I'm new to Rimworld, but it's already grabbed my interest far more firmly than anything else in its category of gameplay.

If you aren't, then I want to throw words of encouragement to everyone who did get involved. Testing for a game in development -- especially one in an alpha stage of completion -- can be frustrating, but for independent developers without a large staff volunteer testers are lifeblood.
