Mod bugs / Game breaking bug when visitors arrive
December 11, 2017, 06:43:18 PM
Hi! I'm having a very weird bug where I can't seem to click on anything a while after visitors arrive; also, the interface dissapears when I zoom out, and reappears, sometimes, when I zoom in. Rolling back a save seems to fix the problem, but it happens so often it's quickly becoming unplayable.

On the surface, what I notice is that one or two visitors just dissapear, and looking at the logs it looks like it's trying to draw them but can't find where they are (or where to draw them).

Now bear in mind two things: first, I don't know if this is normal, but my output log is very big (25mb for a .txt seems like a lot); second, I play with a shit ton of mods. I hope this is not a deal-breaker for trying to get help on the forums because I really can't think of anywhere else. Anyways, I will provide a mod list if needed.
For now I'm just giving you my output log because I can't recognize, just by looking at it, whether it's a mod causing it or a conflict between different mods (given the amount, I might have missed one compatibility issue or load order instruction)
Let me know if I missed any information you might need.

Please, help me; and thanks in advance!

Excellent! No worries about the delay, I know you're very much active with other mod updates and such.

What I acually want is for the pawns to gain Crafting XP while stonecutting (which they already do) and to get stonecutting to be part of the "Crafting" category instead of the "Cosntruction" category, just like before A17.

Thanks for the reply!

Kaptain! I'm not sure if this is intended behaviour or not (regarding Corrected Workgivers) but my colonists will always prefer stonecutting to doing practically anything else (probably because it falls under the constructing category and that work is very prioritized). I've tried using blerkz's "Skilled Stonecutting" but it doesn't seem to be working quite as I expected: pawns do in fact gain crafting exp, but that's about it, it won't get recognized as a crafting bill (and not a construction one, like in A17).

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks once again for your amazing mods and updates!

I think this may not be working correctly for me (understandable since I have many, many mods) because my pawns with prioritized construction work will always prefer completing stonecutting bills to doing literally anything else. I believe it may be a compatibility issue with some other mods that change priorities, mainly kaptain_kavern's "Corrected Workgivers". Should I put this mod below or above in the load order? Or should I just not load both mods simultaneously?

Hi! Is anyone else having this bug where newly built dining chairs just disappear?

Is this error messages known?

Looked for nonexistent key VG_Compost in counted resources.
Looked for nonexistent key RawFertilizer in counted resources.
Looked for nonexistent key VG_PileofDirt in counted resources.

Its spamming my debug log.
Dunno if its caused by this mod or vegetable garden.

I'm having this issue too! I believe (very innocently as I know next to nothing about modding) it may be because of deteriorating piles of dirt, sand, etc. And the game might be looking for those somewhere in your stockpiles but can't find it.
Also why would a pile of dirt deteriorate? lol
Great mod nonetheless!

Hi, I'm having an issue with this mod: when using EdB Prepare Carefully, upon arrival, one of my pawns will always turn into a MAI. Is this common and quickly fixable?

Hello! I've been having the same issue as others before me: I cannot generate a world map.
My game is heavily modified though and I've yet to try disabling the others but I'm posting my output_log anyways (maybe it'll be useful, somehow!). Here it is: https://pastebin.com/TAPvTvNK

I'm using the latest JecTools (the one posted some commets above this).

Thanks for the great mod!
