Would like to report that in one of my games, I chose a mountainous region on the world map for my new colony. Upon start, whole screen is blank (undiscovered) except for a small area on the edge of the map. My colonists will air drop into that small space together with all their items.

I then attempt to mine their way out to the left. A short way in, I break out into open air. However, only about half of the map is revealed. If drafted, my colonists can walk into the undiscovered area, but it does not clear it.

I have attached 2 screenshots showing the initial drop, then the break out and subsequent half screen un-reveal.

I have that save game stored here : https://www.dropbox.com/s/iq6biy9x73pyiks/Alpha6%201.rwm

I am running a few mods right now : Apothecarius, Colonist Only Doors, Enhanced Slaves, ExtraResearch Tables 1.2, Jaxxa Shields, MedBed 1.4, Miscellaneous_-_Hires, Mushrooms, PowerSwitch, Wood Tweaks, Workplaces.

I am also experiencing increasing lag a few minutes into other attempts, usually when some rooms have been constructed / hollowed out of bedrock and furnished. The "roof over nothing" issue is also present.

TL;DR : If Callie wants you dead, you're dead.

Diary Entry 01

We 3 landed on this desert planet with nothing but our sleep pods, minimal supplies, and a pistol. A brief reconnoiter of the surrounding area and we quickly decided that our camp would be built against the cliff face, with living quarters built into the hill itself. Breaking out the CTs, we swiftly set up a walled off area with multiple front entrances. Here we setup our paste (I refuse to call it food) dispenser, and some cots around the central support beam, and basic power generators and batteries.

Diary Entry 10

Our colony now numbers 6 souls. Most basic amenities have been taken care of, with individual rooms for each colonist, all built into the hillside. Several raider raids have left us short on supplies and tempers are high. We put up our 5th automated turret.

Diary Entry 25

....sitting against the wall with my life pouring out of me, keeping still so that the raiders, may they roast in hell, don't notice me and decide to end me quickly, I never knew what possessed me keep recording in this thing...who will see it?!? The squirrels?? Hahaha<hack><gurgle><cough>...

...I guess it goes to show, if there is some Ascended being out there, watching us, guiding us....they must have a twisted sense of humor...

...<cough><cough>...Recovering from our last raider attack that saw 8 raiders take out our defenses and kill 2 of us before being driven off, we get word that 9 of them just landed at our doorstep. Before we can even say "Solar Flare!" all our lights, batteries, the newly repaired defenses and even the damned paste dispenser up and shut down. Talk about sending a message...

The raiders systematically destroyed everything outside, then hammered their way through the unpowered doors. The few of us that could handle a weapon fought bravely in the dark. I get shot 6 times in the...everywhere and slump down against the wall. They walked in, the few that survived and started torching the place....

....<gurgle>....going to...soon....<hrrk>...I hits me... the poor fella we locked up...was it the day before yesterday or yesterday? heheheh...glad I'm going out quickly...hehehhhhrrkkkk.......

We take a look at the growing colony of Tranquilville. Nestled in a natural valley, on a tropical (if the rain is anything to go by) class-M planet, life was peaceful, colonists were hardworking, but well fed and well taken care of.

The occasional raider attack were minor affairs, repelled or neutralized with ease, and survivors were inducted into the group, mainly to prevent them from revealing the location and defenses of the colony.

Life was good...until one raider attack coincided with a mysterious phenomenon that swept over the entire planet.

No one knows what beset the local Muffalo population that foggy night. Surviving Tranquilville scientists speculate that a Transcended artifact in one of the ruins dotting the planet's landscape was somehow activated, sending out a planet-wide psychic shockwave. None of the colonists were affected by this pulse, possibly due to the location of the colony. Those outside the protective walls were not so lucky.

Every single Muffalo outside the valley were affected by the pulse and driven mad. They started to
attack everything in sight, be it themselves, the local squirrel or boomrat population... or unlucky raiders.

Making a beeline for the entrances of the colony, as if driven or directed by something, the maddened Muffaloes were ignored by the automated sentry defense guns, their databases were sadly only calibrated with raider profiles. Breaking through the poorly designed double-doors into the colony proper, the herd started attacking colonists, who scrambled to get away from them.

The colonists tried some semblance of ordered retreat, but the sheer numbers of the herd rendered that idea quickly useless. One by one they fell, until only 1 survivor remained.

Lt Castaneda, space marine, was a recent joiner in the colony, but he proved his worth. Grabbing a belt full of grenades that one of the unlucky raiders dropped after he destroyed the Northern gate with them, he initiated a running retreat while lobbing grenades at the pursuing Muffaloes. While his aim left something to be desired, very soon, all attacking Muffaloes were neutralized.

Once the threat was gone, Lt. Castaneda was left scrambling to move all incapacitated colonists to their rooms for healing. In the days that followed, he slowly nursed them back to health. Many did not survive the ordeal, but those who did credit Lt. Castaneda with singlehandedly saving the colony, thus earning him the odiously accurate title of "Muffalo Slayer".
