Unfinished / [a16][WIP] Animals +

    Animals+

    We're currently looking for coders!! Right now it's just me (an artist) and one or two other people currently working on this. Anyone who'd like to help, no matter the experience, is more than welcome to message me for details!! We might also be interested in another artist as well!

    About
    Animals+ is a little group project that aims to diversify the various biomes in the game! As of right now, I've got seventeen animals textured, with tons more planned! Most, if not all of them, are just there to diversify and make things more fun! I've got more than eight animals per biome that I'm working on making art for right now! That's...a lot.

    Current Features

    The graphics are currently finished for the following animals:

    African Wild Dog ("Painted Wolf" in-game)
    Tiger
    Domestic Goat
    Munchkin Cat
    Bison
    Hippo
    Lion
    Cheetah
    Beavers! Regular ones, at least.
    Amur Leopard
    Snow Leopard
    Black Bear
    Moose
    Tiger
    Reindeer
    Walrus
    Wooly Rhino
    Red Panda
    Tapir
    These animals are coded:

    Giraffe

    Preview some of the textures here!

    Planned Features

    - All of the animals listed on this sheet.
    - If possible, mounts! Would love to have some horses.
    - Some of the animals added will have unique drops! Tusks, especially valuable leather, and perhaps more!
    - Sometime in the future, I'd also love to look into maybe incorporating more animal-related mechanics.[/*][/list]

    Help / Are randomized textures possible?

    Is it possible to have random textures for animals or items? Like, if I fill a folder with a bunch of different textures, is there a way to just point the game towards the folder and have it pick a random set of textures?

    I've recently been having a lot of fun making animals for the game, but I'm more of an artist than I am a coder, so I'm not sure I'll really be able to get everything all nice and neat? But if there are any coders interested in doing something with some of these sprites, please let me know! I'm also taking requests if anyone wants to suggest animals on this page.

    Mods / [RESOURCES] Rimworld Assets

    Please let me know if this is either in the wrong place or not allowed! But in my venture of modding the game, I had some problems getting assets unpacked to edit and use. The tutorial on the wiki was incorrect, but I managed to figure it out on my own. So! For ease of access, I've zipped most of them into archives for modders to download so it's easier to use and edit. Textures are all .png files with transparency, and I'm working on unpacking other assets as we speak. If anyone has any requests, let me know!

    Help / Location of files that determine caravan animals

    Heya! Getting into modding, and I'm trying to add more animals as caravan/pack animals. I've been sorting through the .xml files, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere in any of the defs where I figured it'd be. Where is it? Or is it in the .dll files? I think I might've missed it, but I'm not sure.
