Thread recycled, now i will use it to make mod requests in the future, so i don't spam the forums with useless threads.

Recently, i discovered Xenn race got updated to 1.1, however, from some comments, i heard the race itself is way too OP compared to vanilla (and other races?), plus i also heard they can age up to unreasonable numbers...

So, i am asking for a "lite" patch of the mod, removing (or nerfing) it's weapons, armor and life expectancy...

I for example have 200+ mods and also have a brother with different mod tastes so that increases even more the list...

but i dislike using steam, plus the automatic updates have the potential to ruin saves...

so i am asking, how do you (non-steam users) handle mods?

*This pack is a work in progress, i don't even know if the weapons are properly balanced yet, so give me suggestions!.*
*I did not make the assets in this mod, credits are found on the text file.*
*I am using Plazma burst 2 wiki and Rimworld's gun stats for reference, i want most guns to act like pb2 but stay balanced in rimworld, that means some will not work like they did in pb2 and/or won't be balanced at all, feedback is important.
*I will focus on plazma burst 2 weapons, but there is a chance i may add pb1's guns + upgrades.

Guns in the pack:

* Correction nine:

- C-01r Assault Rifle (blue and red)
- C-01p Pistol (blue and red)
- C-01s Shotgun (blue and red)
- C-02m Minigun
- C-01y Ray Gun
- C-00n Grenades

*Civil Security

- CS-RC Assault Rifle
- CS-Pro Pistol
- CS-DAZ Shotgun
- CS-LitBro Rocket Launcher
- CS-SpamThemBaby Grenade Launcher
- CS-YippeeKiYay
- CS-HShot (uses c-01y projectile until i figure out how to do a rail-like projectile with C#)
- CS-OneSOneK (uses c-01y projectile until i figure out how to do a rail-like projectile with C#)

* Usurpation Forces

- Alien Pistol (uses c-01y projectile until i figure out how to do a rail-like projectile with C#)
- Alien Rifle
- Alien Shotgun

- Ray Rifle TCoRR

* More weapons coming soon...

This mod should be compatible with other mods/saves, but i am not sure, so report any problems.

To-do:
- Add as many plazma burst guns possible.
- Replace current projectiles. (i kinda did it already)
- Make the current guns look more rimworld-like.
- Add languages.
- Add CE or proper shotguns compatibility.
- *maybe* Create the factions (sadly, i don't know how usurpations and falkoks look like without the armor)

Help / Is xpathing extremely important?

I am new to modding and programming in general (and the forums e.e), and i am trying to make my first mod (it actually is going pretty well).

but then i heard about xpathing, and that it is used to make patches and such stuff...
(warning, i may be asking pretty dumb questions.)
yet i don't know why should i use it, isn't it easier to just change a part of the code manually?

should i redo my mod because i didn't use it to change some values, such as damage?

or am i just outdated and it was just required on past versions like A17?
