Entry, Day01
Im writing this in hopes that one day this will either tell of our heroic struggle for survival or how we died on this godforsaken rock. Noone knows what happen but all we know is our ship crashed and we're stuck here until help arrives. So far we've been able to secure some food and establish a small camp out in a very open field. Atleast this way we can be spotted easily from the sky. Me,Jerry and Sarah are so far the only survivors Jerry set up a beacon incase anyone else survived the crash. I fear for that beacon may attract the wrong attection though i've heard stories about pirates and raiders in the galaxy i can only hope they are just that only stories. We arnt planning on being here forever but until help arrives we plan to start growing food and possibl building somekind of home here to keep us all sane. Jerry's a deep space miner so he's aquiring metal for our home. Sarah is a veteran space marine so she maintains the beacon and watches for any kind of threat. As for me well i make awsome potatos so i tend the fields. I can only pray for us now but i must part ways as Sarah is reporting movment north of us maybe another survivor seeking help or maybe.....well......sometimes stories become reality.

Entry, Day03
Well the past 3 days were very eventful we got a small building constructed with 5 rooms that we now call our home. A bedroom for each of us and a small canteen for us to eat in peace and have cheerful conversations. Yesterday a wounded miner named Thomas wondered into our camp we quarrantined him in the extra room to make sure he was ok this morning he joined us bringing us to 4. He came with stories of how he was with 8 others but pirates jumped them less than 4 miles north of here. My fears have become true pirates are real and they are nearby. Sarah has begun building sandbags around our compound incase of the worst. She plans to build turrets that she learned about but our power supply is being drained for our lights. Thomas spoke of a gyser nearby that could provide the power needed i'll send our miner boys up to check it out. With extra power we could extend our beacon and upgrade our defences to we can feel more secure. We will need it even as i write this Sarah reports numerious contacts moving violently twards up we fear these are the pirates Thomas spoke of. If they are we will have to make a stand against them i write this as possibly the last entry as the unknown contacts are coming over the ridge......

Entry, Day07
It's been a week since we landed here. But yet it seems like a year has passed by. 3 days ago we encountered our first raid party there was only 5 of them we killed 3 with no problem but Thomas suffered heavy wounds and is still resting. We captured 2 of them and Sarah has been talking to them everyday in an attempt to convert them to our side. With thomas out in bed and Sarah working the prisoners that leaves me and Jerry to run the colony. It's been tough on everyone food is running low and our sole source of electricity our 2 solar pannels were destroyed in the raid. A well placed grenade destroyed the canteen so we've been forced to eat outside agian. Jerry threw the idea around about using hydroponics since they grow faster but noone here knows how to make them. One of the prisoners was a high tech scientist from what we gathered from his coat maybe we can convince him to show us how to make them. Our Beacon of hope as we call it is still running strong as ever so maybe we will get a miracle soon a traveler passing by or something anything at this point would help.....

Entry, Day09
The past 2 days have been very prosperious. Thomas finally recovered from his wounds and is now mining agian with Jerry. The 2 of them bring in enough metal each day to greatly expand our little compound. Sarah managed to convert both prisoners to our side bringing us to 6. Even better one of them Nills is a expert with hydroponics and advanced weapons research. So far we've been able to repair the canteen to its formal self and added 3 new rooms for our new colonists. A seperate wing has been started for Nills research station. Sarah manged to expand the armory and add 4 new shelfs to hold our increasing gun stock. Food is on the rise thanks to a wonderful weather cycle and to top it all off a traveler named Harris arrived today. Like the rest we quarrantined him to make sure hes ok with us. He's a space marine so he will be very useful. Sarah reported raiders outside our colony agian but this time i feel as if we can handle them now. With our solar pannels rebuilt and a new spiffy turret built inside sandbags raiders dont scare me like they use to. For once since we landed 9 days ago i feel safe to walk around outside.

Entry, Day11
We just finished burying Thomas this morning. I still cant beleive what happen....The raiders there was 8 of them i figured with 6 of us and a turret we would defeat them easily but yet we lost one and 2 are seriously wounded including Sarah. They rushed our turret with pistols we killed 7 while the turret took all the fire but a grenadier got too close and lobbed a grenade at us it landed right next to Thomas. Before we could react another flew over and landed near Sarah and Jerry. I was able to wound the raider and secure him before tending to the wounded. Nills suggested we beat him and put him in a gibbet cage in the direction the raiders keep coming from in hopes of scaring them but that would be to easy for him to escape. Instead im waiting for the next raider to show up since i know already another one will show up eventually. When they show up we'll execute the prisoner for them to see inexchange for the loss of our own.

Entry, Day18
This past week has taken its toll on us....More raiders show'd up 2 days ago and we kept to our word. Sarah marched the prisoner out for all the raiders to see and shot him in the back of his head. Most of them ran off but 2 stayed and fight. They were killed off rather easily but that matters little to us anymore. An outsider arrived yesterday and we quarratined him if he leaves i wont be surprised. Our compound is in ruins the main building is in ruins the canteen filled with rubble and blood our rooms messy and crumbling down around us. Morale is low Nills doesnt talk anymore he just wanders around camp most of the day. I fear we may wake up one night to the sound of his pistol in his room....Jerry is the only one that even shows emotion anymore he tries to keep us happy but i fear its already over. The beacon was dismantled lastnight for the simple fact of we couldnt handle anymore problems. Metal is running low food is nearly gone and morale is almost gone the only thing holding us together now is security. We fear the wasteland now so sticking together is all we can do. Tommorow we hope to repair the base but hope just seems to get us in more trouble than its worth. This is it for today if i write tommorow then maybe its a sign we are recovering if not well....atleast our story will be here for others to find.

Entry, Day28
Its been 10 days since i've seen this journal i almost forgot about it. A few days ago raiders hit us agian and destroyed every last intact brick inside our compound i guess i didnt have time to look for it. So much has happen over those 10 days we had a massive intact of survivors from a nearby camp and with the prisoners we've been getting theres currently 15 of us. Its amazing 10 days ago we didnt think we would last the night now theres a small army here. We left our ruined base and mined out a much more secure one inside the mountain that was east of our base. Currently it has a canteen a generator room 15 rooms for us all a small prison and Nills finally made a hydroponics room so our food is secure and always being grown. Sarah even rebuilt the beacon inside a fortified wall just outside our entrance. Jackson and Peter showed up yesterday their both masters in technological defences so they built 4 very powerful energy turrets to guard the gate. Sadly they suck up too much power to use so we're gonna have to secure another geyser or maybe build some more pannels im not sure yet. Jerry and his little mining crew are bringing in so much metal now its just stupid. Nills said something about a plant that grows metal but it would need a very advanced scientist to use. Things have made a turn for the good finally for us. As Sarah put it it seems a small ray of light has finally punched through the shroud that has haunted over us since we arrived here.

Entry, Day33
Its been a month since we landed here. 3 city folk took impossible odds and established a colony on a distant rimworld. After all we've been through all the poeple we lost and all the poeple we killed we still push forward. 2 more wanders arrived a few days ago bringing us to 18. The raids have dwelled down to almost nothing giving us time to not only drasticlly improved our defences but expand our mountain fortress. Nills has been improving our home with many projects everything from rugs to new plants tv's and couches all kinds of things. But with all good fortune comes a bad oamen. 4 of our newer colonists are in the hospital with major wounds. The 4 of them held off a raid of about 20 raiders yesterday it was incredible. Once they recover their get bigger rooms for their heroic's. I must part now for once in 5 days the raid alarm is going off. But with the turrets and 14 snipers this should be almost fun.

Entry, Day34
I guess this will be my last entry. Its been truley hell today one raid after another. At first we held them off easily but then 1 colonist dropped then another then 2 then 5 until there was 4 of us left. Me,Jerry,Nills and Sarah we barricaded off the comms room at the end of our corridor. The turrets held them off for a while but given the explosion we heard a few minutes ago their gone. 2 other colonists ran into the canteen and put up a fight but now its quiet.....Everything is either in ruins or on fire the beacon gone our base gone everyone we called family.....gone. Now we stand here waiting listening to raiders ransack our fort smashing and yelling at the door just waiting for the end. Jerry is badly wounded Nills is wounded but can fight and me and Sarah are in pretty good shape but that wont matter anymore. We arnt walking away from this and we know this. We'll fight them off until the last one dies or we all die. I leave this now for the door is breaking apart hopfully one day someone will find this journal and make something from it.

Survival Log Day295
Its been months since we arrived here.....3 of us crashed together and from there started a small camp in wich we were to be rescued from. But rescue never came instead other survivors found us. We gave an oath we protect eachother we live together.....we die together today that oath became reality.

This morning started out good we all woke up ate breakfast together and talked about how we were doing. Dave and Paul were heading north to gather metal while everyone else was to harvest the fields and bring in much needed food. Jackson went to build 3 new turrets to our defence line. That would make 10 fortifed turrets to our line supporting the 25 of us. Hours past and our miners never returned. Finally Paul returned but died at our door right then and there we knew what was coming. Jackson scouted out and came back with dreadful news 45+ raiders had landed. We lost 2 already but that wasent going to put us down. We all grabbed our rifles from the armory and maned our postions ready to fight or die. Jackson led the defence at the front with 9 other snipers to deal with the LMG raiders first. Between them and mines about 18 raiders fell but that didnt even weaken them. Once they got close enough the turrets kicked in and started dropping them left and right. But 4 raiders snuck around from the side and threw grenades at 3 of the turrets. The chain reaction destroyed 6 and killed 8 of our guys. With 4 turrets and 15 guards still alive we held our ground. With over half our turrets gone we just couldnt stop them all and more grenadiers got inclose and chucked grenades at us. The last 3 turrets were destroyed and ended up killing 3 more of us. They began swarming us and forced us to retreat inside our colony walls. The door held them back for a few minutes allowing us to take postions inside our base our last line of defence. Once the door was breached they flooded the base our once peaceful halls were now battlegrounds filled with blood and bodies. Jackson and Peter were our only 2 marines they fought to the death inside the canteen the first room you come to inside our cave fortress. They took 6 raiders with them but a grendier finsihed them off. Once the canteen was theirs the raiders stormed the generator room and battery storage. In our retreat we place a few charges around the steam generator that took about 5-9 more raiders with it. Jackal,Peggle and Harrison waited in the Hydroponics room armed to the teeth around a makeshift barricade. But the raiders knew better they threw 2 grenades inside and killed Harrison and Jackal right away. Peggle killed 1 of them but got swarmed by shotgunners and killed. Oyla Died in the halls fending them off from the comms room he managed to kill 2 before they killed him. Peter and Dan held the comms room hoping to hear from a slave trader that might offer some kind of help but with the generator gone their sole source of help was gone. Another well placed grenade killed them both on the spot. The last 4 of us barricaded ourselfs in the panic room at the back of the base. With our food gone the base in flames raiders at the door and what was once our family now dead around us we waited guns ready prepared to die. We thought back to the first day when we first setup camp how far we've come and the idea that we might just survive here then it happened so fast. The door breached and raiders stormed in. Miller went first he held them off with his M-16 killed about 3 but couldnt fend them all off. Yolan had her trusted shotgun she killed 2 but a molotov finished her she was one of the original colonist's first to land on this world last to die here. Kyla used grenades and actually managed to kill 9 or 10 of them but the molotov fire consumed him as well. He was the second colonist to land here me being the third. Then it was just me M-16 fire raining down on me the base in flames my fallen brothers around me as i write this. We had hoped maybe one day we might be rescued maybe we'll survive this ordeal.....How wrong we were so now with a full clip in my R-4 rifle i rise to the challenge and fight to the death after all we live together and we die together.
