Have visitors stay

I checked to see if this was suggested, and didn't see anything, sorry if it's there.

I think there ought to be a percentage of a chance that when a bunch of visitors come (or even the single "outcasts") that some/one/all of them choose to stay on the colony.   Maybe there ought to be a pop-up that allows you, after checking out their stats, to choose whether or not you accept them into the colony. 

Their decision could be randomly based on any number of things. Such as:
1. They like the climate
2. They like heavily armed/defended colonies
3. they like colonies that have lots of marble/steel/etc..
4. you get the point..

I just don't love the idea that there are only the two ways to get new colonists (one random very rarely, or capture).

Some of my visitors stay in my colony, they go to eat in the nice and warm dining room near the steam geyser, then someone locks the door and, well, they stay there for quite a while.

Other than that, nice suggestion, maybe those random travellers pass by and decide to help ( do building, growing, crafting) or stay in the colony for good.

Ooh, I like the idea of "hey, I'll stay and help farm for three days if you give me 10 units of metal"... click "yes or no".. interesting!

+1.  maybe for the conditions you could need an unowned Colonist bed.

I believe something like 'visitors marked bed' much like the 'prisioner marked bed' are ok.

These must be a pretty hard to code and balance, since you will have other people people that are not from your colony working as colonist, without you being able to choose what they do, so someone can do a bad medical operation, make an awnful golden mace, etc, etc.

But it's still a sugestion, a simple way to start these 'friendly faction improvement' would be a call to your coms console. You can answer it and be something "Tribe's People is offering 3 growers for the summer season, for the cost of 1250 silver. Will you accept the offer? *Accept / Cancel*

If you accept the 3 tribe's people, they will stay on the visitors bed, eat YOUR food, chat and do exclusively growing and hauling of these grown.

I support this idea and to take it a step further (probably already suggested elsewhere) please allow us the option to recruit "guests" instead of just heal them up and let them go. Make it more challenging if you want, or make a pre-requisite list as suggested (bed required, stockpiled food, or other necessities) but please allow me a way to potentially recruit those I heal up as guests.

Crypto-casket survivors too. They come out of the pods either A) pissed off and wanting to kill you, or B) severely injured/sick and near death. Either way you have to work hard to save them either via incapacitate/capture or rescue. Only the first of the two methods will give you the option to recruit them, as a prisoner. This isn't right. You should have the option to also recruit a guest.

It would be better to have a chance to them join your colony than an option to recruit them. They are guests, guests may leave and you have the option not heal them and just thrown them outside.

Cryptosleep should have a better chance of joining your colony, since they were almost dead there and you saved them. But, they will fill your colony with vomit! Love this feature.
