Turrets shouldn't auto-target wargs

I am perfectly happy leaving these humanoid eating wolves alone. But my turrets always decide to put their nose in my businness, and they get it bitten off with a *fizzzzzzzzz-BOOM* Annoying and expensive. Can you please make it so you have to manually target them, even if it means autotargeting mad animals as well? Thanks for your time.

A central control for your turrets would be a better idea so you can remotely deactivate them.

i have noticed wargs going after turrets before the turrets start shooting. having a master control console of some form which allows you to set turrets to passive would be cool.

for balance the turrets would not lose their power draw and could take time to wake up, but if you are have wargs outside your door then you don't need turrets  8)

Exactly. It just wastes valuable steel that their is a limited supply of. :'(

Let them be shot - Warg corpses helped me through long hard winters!

last warg attack on my colony, 30 wargs, arrived, 0 left. colonist injured, 0. turrets lost 3. 30x80(average meat from each warg)=2400 meat in the freezer.... just another food delivery to the front door.

I'm not saying that turrets shouldn't be able to shoot wargs. Far from it. In fact, I use turrets for machine gun hunting, just set force attack on a squirrel! Hehehehehehhehehe... Probably shouldn't have said that on the forum... hmmm. Anyway, if you had to set manual force attack it would be a better system. You should at least be able to choose what your turret will target.

I haven't tested Alpha11 yet but from what I read not auto-targeting mad animal / wargs look like a simple solution.
"Sam Starfall joined your colony"
"Sam Starfall left your colony with all your valuable"

Yeah, I would prefer having to manually target wargs / insane animals too.
