Alt-Tab Bug?

I really don't know if this is a bug, but i cant find any indication otherwise. When i Alt-Tab out of the game while in a world, (playing the game) my game closes, but if i do it at the home screen of Rimworld it doesn't seem to do it? Can someone help me figure out what this is?

It doesn't seem to happen to me. Sometimes the window 'hides' but i can always alt-tab back.
There have been a couple of times i've started trying to play a new game with the old one running in the background by accident lol

Yea i don't know whats going on b.c. it doesn't show up in my toolbar, nor in my task manager. I'm really confused lol

If you keep alt tabbing, do you get the window back, or has it properly crashed?

Sounds akin to a windows 8 Metro app, how they don't agree with tabbing.
Hmm.

Press your windows key and M
This should minimize all programs, see if that crashes it?
