how to obedient a pet?

Hey,
i dont know how to get my pet obedient...
i cant choose a master on it, and colonist are not allowed to interact with my lab, though i designated everyone to be a tamer.
please help me, im going nuts on this..

Could be taht you don't have the food from the kind of animal

did you click on the 'lab' and check it's training tab and tick each of the options?

The labrador retriever is omnivorous, so i can use any kind of food, am i right?

The Lab might require a higher taming skill than your highest tamer has.
Food isn't a problem for any critter apart from the warg (The only true carnivore) so you should be right with anything.

You also can't use hay to train/tame, or meals. Has to be raw food that isn't hay.
