best way to find unroofed area?

Hello,

I have a build a backyard and barn behind my base, between some natural mountains...

now i get the toxic fallout event and after the initial "oh shit moment" i remove "no roof area" on my whole backyard. as expected the game tells me it's unroofed, luckily with the snow effect of toxic fallout i am able to find two spots...

but i have been looking and looking for over 10 minutes and it still sais it's unroofed and i am just blind or whatever.

do you guys have any suggestions on how to find a small unroofed spot in an area? or is there a mod (compatible with a12) for that purpose?

in all honesty, i think it should be much easier to find an unroofed area. "hey look up, there's a hole there"...

Theres an option in debug mode that makes roofs kinda visible.

Go to options, and turn  development mode on, than in the new buttons that show up on top of the screen, select the one called "view settings", once there, turn on "draw roofs".  :)

If the distance between 2 walls are longer than 8 blocks, then there will be an unroofed are in the middle.

Actually the distance is 6 cells from the nearest support.... which means you can build a room that is 12 interior wide by 50 interior long and it will be roofed. Change that to 13 wide, and it will not be roofed.
