Hello, I bought the game at the start of the month, and I love it a lot.  I want to recommend my friends the game, but they're unsure about it as they don't know what it's like.

I want to know if giving them the previous version (254b) download link is an okay thing to do, to let them try the game.
Am I allowed to do this, to potentially get my friends to buy it, or is it preferred that I didn't?  I understand that doing this is technically piracy, which is why I am asking if this is allowed.

If it isn't, that's fine, I just want to check.

Cheers.

You could think of this as "piracy light" or "aggressive promotion", depending on your viewpoint. I personally think it would be fine to give out a older version to fix them with the RimWorld bug despite being horribly anti-piracy. I simply think they could not resist getting it themselves.

I would prefer having the direct order of whether it's alright or not, preferably from Tynan.  He may say he accepts it, doesn't mean he wants it to happen.  Cheers though. :P

Tynan

Well, you're good enough to ask; I say you can just give them Alpha 1 and tell them to buy it if they end up spending a good number of hours on it. I wouldn't make this global policy but I can only assume your friends are probably as cool about this as you :D

This right here, is a good guy. It's a shame that more people (not just developers) aren't as open.

Solidly repping OTown.
