Possible bug/issue

When i have a colonist selected and try to right click on objects such as metal, so as to prioritize the hauling of it nothing shows up, the colonist is set to haul stuff and the items aren't forbidden. it isn't my mouse. on the windows version of the latest alpha build. Any ideas or suggestions. i know it works occasionally because it sometimes lets me prioritize the mining of mineral rather than stone, when i have a miner selected.

Is it just prioritizing things like hauling food and such? Or is it wardening, growing food and such? Because if it is only hauling; make sure you have a stockpile laid down.
